DJ ColonelSimmer Down

Greetings, reggae people. Dj Colonel your host for the SimmerDown Reggae Hour, Wednesday nights from 9:00 to 10:00. Nothing but Roots, Rocksteady, Lover’s Rock, Dancehall, Ska, and Dub.

The love of music, and especially reggae, came early for Colonel. “I heard Eddy Grant’s Electric Avenue in 1981 and I got turned on to Reggae. When I was in high school in New York all it took was a phony ID and I found myself in clubs seeing Reggae acts such as Steel Pulse, Toots and The Maytalls, Rita Marley, Bad Brains and Bunny Wailer.
Reggae led me to the improvisational jams of the Grateful Dead.”

“The love of reggae surfaced once again when I was given the opportunity to host the Simmer Down Hour. Reggae is a huge influence and inspiration in my life. My goal is to bring the positive vibrations of reggae music to the masses. Rise up to the Simmerdown Wednesday nights at 9:00pm.”
